Kilimanjaro, the band that topped the jazz charts in the early 80's is back!!!

Jazziz Magazine recently picked our new CD "Homecoming" as one of their "Critic's Choice - Best CD's of 2009". "Maceo's New Suit" was Track #2 on the Jazziz "Best of 2009" compilation CD, along with such familiar names as Chick Corea, John McLaughlin, and Branford Marsalis. Great company to be keeping!

Attention Unknown Blues Band fans! After many years of fund-raising, Big Joe Burrell is finally getting his statue. It'll be unveiled at the opening of this year's Discover Jazz Fest, on upper Church St - after which we'll be playing a 1 1/2 hr set, featuring many UBB stalwarts. We'll try to toss in a Kilimanjaro tune or two!
